Primula’s designs on fashion

This article typically to my sister for her upcoming engagement. She finally meet her 'prince charming'. Sometimes i assume how can i survive to be a great husband.haha..ahh!too early to think about it. Now take a look some songket and kebaya design which to be proud of. I've seen when i came to Primula Beach Resort in December last year. I thought this is unique fashion than others.

PRIMULA Beach Resort in Kuala Terengganu is awash with the colours of batik and songket at its regular fashion shows.

Apart from promoting its own collections, the hotel also acts as ambassador for dress-makers and fashion designers in Terengganu, a State where batik and songket producers thrive.

Fabrics and clothes are paraded by the hotel’s own models including hotel staff.

“Every month, we hold fashion shows once or twice depending on the demand and the availability of new collections,” said resort public relation executive Wan Tazillah Wan Harun. “We are promoting locally-produced batik and songket dresses and the work of others including lecturers and students of the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) textile design department, who come all the way from Machang, Kelantan,”

Besides fashion shows, the hotel representatives also travel to other parts of the country to promote its products. At its latest destination, Johor Bharu, various collections, mostly of local products and designs, were displayed and promoted.

Response so far has been good with the hotel receiving orders for the various items showcased.
